Henry Ford Elementary School had over 100 moms and three dads for their  Annual Mother’s Day Breakfast.

Rhonda Walker from Channel 4 news surprised a First Grader Kylie Fitch with a classroom Donut Party and a certificate for being one of Rhonda’s Brag Book students. Kylie was nominated by her grandma.

Care to the Core Day was April 26th.  However, our staff members show support to our students and families year round.  One shining example is our Parent Liaison at Woodworth Middle School.  Ms. Dakroub is always present and willing to assist our families.   She is a shining example of living the “Care to the Core” mission every day.  Pictured here with Assistant Principal Ahmed (left), these two ladies support the Woodworth Hornets.

This month, Woodworth SEDSAC students hosted Unis Middle School students and STEM School students hosted Lowrey Middle School students.  They shared their empathy projects, took school tours and collaborated on student voice.

On Friday, April 26th, Michael Berry students spent their day sharing information about healthy living.  Students researched and created display boards, activities, pamphlets and “goodie bags” to promote healthy living.

Outstanding turnout from staff, parents and community members for the refreshing of the Strategic Plan.  Good to see so many return from the committee of three years ago.  Our work together makes us stronger.  Thank you for taking the extra time to support our district after a long day.

Imagine my surprise when I met a former Young Five student from Oakman at DuVall when I read to their outstanding kindergarten students.  Second graders vocabulary was amazing. Kind students and terrific staff

Students and their families enjoyed an interactive, hands-on program that allowed them to explore fundamental concepts relevant to our societies growing needs while rotating through a series of 14 science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) stations!

Most importantly, this event was fully student-led from beginning to end.  Thanks to volunteers from the fifth grade classes at William Ford and a BIG thank you to the Fordson ASU and STEM Middle School students who volunteered at this event from start to finish.  They were incredible volunteers, and because of their dedication and hard work, our Sciencepalooza was a great success.
