Dearborn Council President Susan Dabaja welcomed CMU President Robert Davies to the Arab American National Museum. Dr. Davies had a tour of the museum and was honored by Director at a brief ceremony and lunch. Board President Petlichkoff and Board Trustee Roxanne McDonald attended.

Fordson Key Club members visit Heartland Rehabilitation Center to deliver Valentine cards and spend time with patients.
Fordson Varsity Cheer program has been re-established. The team was invited to attend the Spirit Shine Competition in Ortonville, MI. This was their 1st cheer competition ever attended. Our team has only been back for a little over a year now and to be invited to and compete in a competition that has been happening for over 30 years is a HUGE honor for our team. The team earned a 2nd place ranking in the Varsity Mounting/Cheer Division.

Maples Elementary Receives Title I Distinguished School Award
Maples Elementary was one of 2 schools in Michigan selected to receive the Title I Distinguished School Award. Maples Elementary earned this award due to showing excellent data for special populations and closing the achievement gap. According to a representative from MDE, M – Step data from the last two years is used.

formal dinner event and celebration to recognize the efforts of outstanding contributors to the Dearborn Education Foundation.
Prominence and Victory awards are presented to an individual and a community organization or business that has greatly
supported Dearborn schools through educational grants. Other awards that are presented on this evening are Volunteer of the
Year and the IMPACT Staff award.
